Catting Around Ireland…Animal Evacuation and more!

There have been repeated sightings of a large black feline in the UK over the past year of so. Check out this latest news bit from Ireland.

Good news today is that the animal evacuation bill passed in NJ Assembly and now heads to the senate.

don’t miss this update from Illinois on the same animal disaster issue.

In other news, there is controvery regarding “canned hunts.” These hunts are conducted on private land and have been done for ages in other countries (nobility) and in Africa. I wonder what your opinion is, but check out this article creating controversy about canned hunts here in the USA.

Bird Flu Update: Pet Store Impact

This just came across my desk from overseas. Many birds in the USA are domestically bred and raised but some are imported. If the bird flu hits the US you’ll want to keep your animals secured away from exposure to wild birds and public venues. Check out this blurb on hygene to avoid avian flu.

Here is the bird flu update…and another news item on bird flu.
