Another Pit Bull Attack

Most animal professionals know that it really is owner irresponsiblity that creates problem pets. One of the most striking are those involving specific breeds such as pit bulls. Here is yet another example of a free roaming pit bull attacking a dog.

I just finished Cesar Millan’s new book. He brings up some interesting points that tie into the current immigration issues…but I babble. He has a big following and his book should do well, although I didn’t find anything new, Cesar reinforces what we all teach…owners need to set guidelines for their pets and keep them active. Anyway along with highlighting the same old problems we all encounter when working with people and their pets he inserts some interesting commentary. Stoop to Scoop

Here in the mountains many people don’t pick up after their pets. This is a problem for many reason. The spreading of disease is just one and exposing wild canids to those diseases is a bad idea.

However, the clean-up problem is so widespread that one community instituted a law specifically for non-compliant pet owners.

This article is just out on the same problem and ranks the cities least and most responsible regarding scooping their poop.
