The Ark Lady is available by phone, email, or for personal appearances and appointments. A completed questionnaire and a deposit must be received in the office to secure an appointment. Although emergency calls can be fit in, advanced appointments are required in most cases.
Service fees are accepted by cash, check, or money order in US dollars. For your convenience, Visa and MasterCard or checking account payments can be immediately processed through our site shop.

DAY RATE (SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA LOCATIONS ONLY):
Yes, our animal expert will also travel for additional fees. Day rates begin at $600 when traveling throughout Southern California. A speaker sheet and menu of fees is available upon request. Please also see the Ark Lady’s credentials and credits here.
APPOINTMENTS:
Book your personal consultation now! There is nothing like personal one-on-one attention. A minimum of an hour appointment is required. Rates start at $125 when you come to the Big Bear location.
PHONE CONSULTATIONS:
Book your telephone consultation now! Most telephone consultation cases will require a minimum of a half hour per topic. An hour usually is sufficient. We will only book a maximum of an hour per client session and usually one topic focus per session. These may be about animal behavior, training, or career sessions. Rates start at $50 per half hour.
EMAIL ANSWERS:
Book your email consultation now! Email consultations are billed at a flat rate of $25 for a one time 500 word answer. Questions about careers, general animal questions, or behavior problems are invited.
How does this work?
Once you have filled out a questionnaire and have returned it to the office with the required fees, an appointment will be scheduled. Our online questionnaire allows you to request certain times or days that are the best for you.
After the appointment is confirmed by the office, you will call or meet with our animal expert on your appointment date and time. You can then chat directly with the animal expert. This session will cover as many things as your time frame allows. For example, animal behavior topics usually include: animal and problem history, previous attempts of solving the problem, and new strategies or other options for you to use. Written booklets, recordings or outlines on your discussion may be provided to you based on the animal expert’s assessment.
How long will it take to get an appointment?
Most cases can be fit in within a short period of receiving the completed questionnaire, appointment request, and required fees. Keep in mind that due to seminars, appearances, and related travel demands, there can sometimes be a delay, however many people can get scheduled in within a week.
Please note: We now are billing each fraction of time over your appointment block at the full half hour rate. Billing includes time spent taking background information from your veterinarian and other applicable agencies (like the shelter you adopted the animal from).
If you think you will need more than the normal time, please book the complete hour for your initial appointment. Because we are selling you the time slot, you are reserving an appointment which cannot be resold.
If you give us 24 hours notice of cancellation we will gladly reschedule your appointment. However, we do not issue any refunds if you do not keep your appointment.
