		<description>It boggles my mind too. I think it has to do with how people have tuned out of their world.  For instance, I noticed on the beach that people were on their phones or listening to iPods instead of being present in their environment. They simply were tuning out.

Now the other opinion is that people are so self-absorbed that they don&#039;t really think about anyone else...but I&#039;d rather believe the first!</description>

		<description>Yes, I see what you talking about daily.  What has been surprising to me is what has been going on with Teddy a 1 year old service dog I have been training in my home since Feb. I can&#039;t believe how close people come to him, some almost stepping on his nose and even  running with a hair of him.   

At the  LL BEAN coffee shop, perfect strangers stepped over him instead of going around  on the other side of a table.  What is up with that?  

Wouldn&#039;t you avoid any dog you did not know? 

I am not talking about the people who try to pet him even though he is wearing a vest. (snark) 

Should he have a big patch like a fire truck that says stay back 5 feet? We have never had a problem, and he is a great dog, but still how can they know that?</description>
