I read this article on Hurricane Gustav & Hurricane Ike from the AP Wire this morning which talks about some of the human and animal hurricane victims.

Hurricane animal victims in Galveston need your help. Here are some requests that have crossed my desk today:

The Galveston County Animal Shelter is in need of supplies such as pet food, flea treatment, de-wormer, disposable kitty litter pans and collapsible wire cages. The shelter’s address is: Galveston County Animal Shelter, 3412 Loop 197 North, Texas City, TX 77590.

Texas livestock are in dire need of hay. Call the Texas Department of Agriculture hotline at (877) 429-1998.
