Cat Litter Training: Litter Kwitter

This whole week I’ve been talking about cat urinating problems and litter box avoidance.

However, there is another alternative if you really want to go green–toilet train your cat.

If you take that action it helps reduce the use of litter (which doesn’t support the mining activities that destroys the earth to get the clay), reduces waste, and keeps things a little more tidy around the house.

Not to mention you will save a bundle because you no longer have to purchase litter, new boxes, cleaning solutions, scoops, and whatever else you currently buy.

There are quite a few toilet training products out there but I believe that the Litter Kwitter Toilet Training System is probably one of the best.

Unlike some products on the market if you proceed too fast for your cat, you can go back and start over. Plus you can save the kit for the next time you add a feline to the household.

The only complaint some people have is that their cats don’t flush.

Hmm, you can teach your cat to flush the toilet or use a device to trigger flushing after use…so that should not be an issue.

Personally, I think the dust and odor reduction would be worth it in some of the homes I have visited who use litter boxes and don’t clean them enough!

If you need help toilet training your cat consider purchasing one of these books to help you out How to Toilet-Train Your Cat: 21 Days to a Litter-Free Home or The Toilet Trained Cat: Train Your Cat to Use the Human Toilet…and Never Scoop Litter Again.

Have you toilet trained your cat? If so, let me know how you did it and how long it took.
