Another problem with exotic pets is that people really can’t provide for their special needs. This news article talks about a parrot rescue in Connecticut. The woman is not very experienced but seeks to help the feathered friends.
Believe it or not, there are parrot rescue groups all around the country. I was a keynote speaker for PEAC at their first conference. Now they have branched out into other states.
